Wisynco Gives WATA for Hurricane Relief
THE Wisynco Group, makers of the Wata brand of bottled water, has donated more than 2,000 cases of Wata to the Government's hurricane relief efforts.
Hundreds of thousands of Jamaicans have been without water since the passage of Hurricane Ivan and are in dire need of the precious commodity. Wisynco's donation will be distributed to affected persons islandwide by the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, which is co-ordinating relief efforts.
"We saw where Wisynco could extend a helping hand to those worst affected by Hurricane Ivan," said Wisynco managing director William Mahfood. "We are making this donation because we believe we have an obligation to Jamaica."
Zachary Harding, director of marketing at Wisynco concurred, saying that the donation was a continuation of the company's involvement in the national fabric of Jamaica and that he was pleased that Wisynco was in a position to offer assistance.
