Ocean Spray WATA, Wisynco's Newest Product

Kingston, Jamaica - Monday, October 10, 2008: The Wisynco Group which has made popular the WATA brand capturing 60% of the market, recently signed a licensing agreement with Ocean Spray International Inc., which will allow the local group to produce cranberry-flavoured WATA.

 

Already the market leaders in Jamaica, WATA expects to make further inroads into the beverage market here and overseas with the intr oduction of Ocean Spray WATA.

 

Wisynco's Managing Director, William Mahfood described the company's 13-year relationship with Ocean Spray as a real partnership. He added: "The potential for Jamaica and Jamaica manufacturing will be tremendous."

 

Reacting to the October 7 signing of the deal, Ocean Spray's Sandra Jones, General Manager for the Caribbean said: "I am thrilled to have this contract and the project in motion. The potential for this product in Jamaica and beyond is outstanding."

 

Wisynco is reporting positive market response to Ocean Spray WATA saying the feedback from consumers and industry peers has surpassed their own expectations.

 

The product had a soft launch earlier this year under the WATA brand. With the new agreement now signed the product will be rebranded and launched in the near future.

 

Under the terms of the agreement, Wisynco is the exclusive distributor for the product in the Caribbean, as well as South, Central and Latin America.
